ATP - ROGER TO MEET SÖDERLING
Roger ovecame a spirited challenge from Philipp Kohlschreiber today to advance into the fourth round in Wimbledon.
The 6-3, 6-2, 6-7(5), 6-1 victory brings Roger a clash with Robin Söderling on Friday, the man he beat to win the French Open just a few weeks ago. Roger said: "I felt more pressure two years ago when I was trying to win a fifth Wimbledon title, but I'm relaxed and feeling good about being in the second week."
Kohlschreiber had lost all his three previous meetings with our champ and had never been able to win a set so far. But the German showed his determination and took advantage of the chance given in the third set, coming from a break back and eventually winning the tie-break. But Roger regained his rhythm right away, showing more brilliant tennis before he sealed his victory after 2 hours 31 minutes with a forehand winner.
On Monday afternoon, Roger will play Robin Söderling, against whom he has won his 10 previous matches.
