ATP - ROGER MAKES IT TO THE FINAL!
Roger survived another scare at this year's French Open - but made it through in style and will play the final of Roland Garros on Sunday! He got past fifth-seeded Juan Martin del Potro 3-6, 7-6(2), 2-6, 6-1, 6-4 and will meet Robin Söderling in his fourth consecutive final.
Roger was down 2-1 in sets and tied 1-1 in the fourth set when he realised his first break and then started playing on a different level, turning around the match. He went on to win seven games in series, all the way up to 2-0 in the final set. Del Potro came back to 3-3, but our champ scored another break right away and then had no more problems wining the match.
Roger has a 9-0 record against Söderling. He is just one more victory away from becoming the sixth player to complete a sweep of the Majors (the others are Fred Perry, Don Budge, Rod Laver, Roy Emerson and André Agassi). The title in Paris would also move Roger level with Pete Sampras on a record 14 grand-slam crowns.
